Membership

As of August 2002, membership fees are to be paid in Euros. The applications have been modified to reflect this change in policy.
There are 2 types of members : Individual Members and Group Members

1. Individual members

There are no preset restriction on who can be a member, except that they must be of legal age in their own country. Individual members have no voting right and are entitled to the following:

  • A regular newsletter (paper or file for those with an e-mail account)
  • Invitations to Congresses and events organised by the ECER.
  • At the Congress, they have the right to speak, but not to vote.
  • Individual members can, however, be elected to the administrational Council.

Membership procedure for individual members:

  • A written application must be submitted to the Council. For this purpose, you can display and print the Individual Application from this site. Applications must be signed and submitted in writing.
  • The applicant must agree to, in writing, to the declarations of the ECER.
  • The applicant must pay an annual fee of 25 EUR.

The Council can reject any application if judged inappropriate.

2. Group members:

Member Groups are entitled to:

  • A regular newsletter, with the right to redistribute to members, either in their own newsletter or in other form.
  • An invitation to the Annual ECER congress
  • The right for their representatives to vote and be a candidate to the Council (each member group designates a representative according its own rules and customs). Member groups that cannot, for practical reasons, send a representative to the Congress, can designate a representative of another group to carry their votes, after notifying the Council in writing.

Membership procedure for member groups :

  • Candidates must send a written group application. For this purpose, you can display and print the Group Application from this site.
  • Applications must be signed an submitted in writing.
  • Candidate groups must agree to, in writing, to declarations of the ECER.
  • Candidate groups must be approved by the Council.
  • Member groups must pay an annual fee of 100 EUR.
